Future Trends

9th grade oral exam topics
Groups 1 and 5.

Trends get a bad rap, mostly because they are often equated with fashions.  Talk about trends and people immediately start imagining wafer thin models strutting down catwalks in outrageous outfits, or maybe a new shade of purple that will be long forgotten by next season.

Today, we’re on the brink of a new digital paradigm, where the capabilities of our technology are beginning to outstrip our own.  Computers are deciding which products to stock on shelves, performing legal discovery and even winning game shows.  They will soon be driving our cars and making medical diagnoses.  Here some trends that are driving it all.

  1. No touch interfaces.
  2. Massive online
  3. The web of things
  4. Perzonalized medicine
  5. Wereable computer is the watch, not the glass

Tourist NYC

9th grade oral exam topics
Group # 3.

New York City's five boroughs are home to some of the world's most recognizable, cherished landmarks and attractions.

From Times Square and Central Park to the Empire State Building and The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the island of Manhattan packs more famous icons into one compact area than any other place on earth; and that's to say nothing of the City's four other boroughs—The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island—each of which contains its own roster of must-see destinations.

So, it sounds overwelming, but dont worry, here you have the must see:

Why we love to hate NYC

9th grade Oral Exam
Topic for group 4.

"New York City: the concrete jungle where dreams are made. We love everything about you — almost. And, as much as we enjoy your walkability, amazing restaurants, and incredible pizza, sometimes you can knock us down so hard that we don't even want to leave our 500-square-foot apartment (the one we share with four roommates).

You constantly remind us that, no matter how hard we work, we'll never be the best. You’re filled to the brim with garbage and construction. And, you're so damn expensive. But still, we're so obsessed with you, that we're willing to put up with all of your flaws — dollar signs, bed bugs, and all. We heart you, NYC, but sometimes you bring us down.

Honestly, 1o things that explais why NYC drives you crazy:
  • The constant presure to be the BEST
  • Subways withouth WiFi
  • The never - ending construction
  • The skewed sense of distance
  • Bed bugs
  • The Unattainably High Physical Standards
  • The addiction to action
  • The Costly Cult-Exercise Classes
  • It spoils you
  • It’s Endlessly Humbling''

Wait a second, facebook has access to what?

Fb Is Forcing You To Talk To Your Friends On Its Terms

Since Facebook made its chat service available as a standalone app over one billion users have downloaded it. In doing so, they've unwittingly granted Facebook nearly unlimited access to their entire mobile device.

Among the revelations: Facebook Messenger can read personal information stored on your device, access your contacts and the frequency with which you communicate with them, monitor your call log, and record audio and video from your phone.
That's a lot of access!
Our general cluelessness is about what we're agreeing to when we download the app.
If we're going to take control of our online identities, we share a collective responsibility to educate ourselves about what information we're sharing with who, don't we?
